  You might check Booster Guitar. Not sure if they have the violin strings but it's a nice shop; worth a call. Personally, I order my guitar strings from the USA to be shipped here because guitar strings cost about 10 x what I paid for them there. Strings and Beyond has very fair international shipping costs. According to a few arrivals I've been reading guitar center seems to be doing pretty bad, and if they don't fix things they'll probably be gone soon, are there any other good music stores in Minnesota if this is to happen? I used to go to Madison's for a while but they are gone as well -_-

  Guitar Center's demise is likely prematurely reported. Radio Shack filed for bankruptcy just last week, and if they hung on that long GC probably isn't going under anytime soon. However, they may close some stores to control costs, and MN probably isn't their top market. Best get familiar with the Internet stores that are out there. I recommend Stewart MacDonald for parts and Stringsandbeyond.com for strings.
