The Vallones have spent 400 years producing up-scale wines in Salento, Italy. I studied history of art from age 13, and later travelled extensively in Europe, imbibing its art and architecture. In addition to English, I speak German, Spanish, Italian and French. My design studio in Reston overlooks oaks and maples, with my beloved Bach, Schubert and Chopin in the background. During weekends, I love to explore the wine country, the stone walls of Middleburg and the polo matches in The Plains—absorbing the rich history, landscapes and architecture of Northern Virginia. I grew up breathing design and architecture from the Tudor style of my grandfather to the Contemporary style of my father. My curiosity for science led to a Ph.D. in earth sciences, a fellowship from the German Academic Exchange Service to study in Berlin, and a decade at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington. But while these were all enriching experiences, Interior Design has returned me to my artistic roots. I would love to help you reflect your own rich experiences and history in your home.
Hi all! I am looking for an interior designer.. like this week! Someone who can pop over and have a look at my home and home office to give suggestions and color matching help. Its modern contemporary. Anyone?
