Any recommendations for a good optometrist in this general area?

I've changed husbands but not eye doctors! My stepsister has as well! heehee ;D That's how long Dr. Kenneth Weinberg has been my eye doctor, has to be almost 30 years (Dr. & I were both VERY young at my first appointment! lol). In the 80's he had an office in the Lakeland Outlet Mall as well, my first visit. He is incredibly thorough - I strayed ONE TIME when I did some work for another optometrist who gave me a free exam and 2 pair of glasses. My next appt. with Dr. Weinberg was 'eye opening' to say the least. During the exam, he said "you must be having headaches"... And I HAD- horrible and frequent (I thought they were stress related, never considered the eyeglasses!). He showed me how both pair I had been given were not just the wrong prescription, but they didn't even match each other! One was one RX, the other was another RX. And the lens shape/contour was off, and I don't remember the third thing wrong. Arg! So when I got my new glasses from Dr. Weinberg- NO MORE HEADACHES! It also speaks highly of him that he has almost NO staff turnover. His demeanor is comfortable, very pleasant and I love his understated sense of wit and humor. He carries value frames to high end/fashion. If you can't decide on a frame, he and his staff are a huge help in assisting in choosing a style that is right for your face. LASTLY, he really made a difference when he suggested I get a pair of computer glasses. ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. I love and highly recommend computer glasses, a must if your profession is computer-driven. Optical Outlet Eastgate 826 Mt. Moriah at Park Dr. Kenneth Weinberg 683-3232
