  Posted this in another group, but I thought maybe people here would know, too: I'm moving to the Dominican next week and would really like to visit San Juan del Sur before I leave. I was looking to go with a friend this weekend and stay overnight Saturday. Really just wanting to spend our time on the beach. Any couch surfers on here?? ....Or any recommendations for cheap hostels near the beach???

  Rositas Hotel; check out www.Rositashotel.com Have stayed a couple of times, ask to stay in one of the 3 rooms on 2 nd level overlooking street (you can see on webpage mid-picture on 2 nd level), don't remember the room numbers; great value for $$

  We are five retired Canadians spending two months in Granada but would like to make a 3 night excursion to San Juan del Sur. The rentals I have been looking at online are quite pricey. I am hoping some of you may have some suggestions for short term rental. We will not have a vehicle so would like to be within walking distance of beach. Clean but not fancy is fine!

  Well under $100/night including AC for 2 rooms & 8 beds. All private bath with Warm shower, Free bottled water, Refrigerator, & Microwave & 2 have full kitchen.
