There are few moments in life that you will forever remember. Childbirth is one of them. The exhilarating yet tender moment when you look upon your freshly birthed baby for the first time is irreplaceable. Unfortunately many women feel stripped of the joy of their birth experience because they feel bullied into unnecessary interventions whether intentionally or unintentionally. Often women remember their childbirth experience with confusion, and dare I say at times even trauma. I believe every mama deserves the right to informed consent. I believe every mama has the right to doula support during childbirth. With the right tools, guidance, support, nurture and encouragement she may one day look back with pride and not shame no matter the outcome because she has "naturally" chosen what was ultimately best for her and her baby.
