  Dog trainer recommendation? I found one post on this subject but it was four years old. Our dog is, for lack of a better term, leash agitated. He is fine around other dogs off leash but on leash he barks, growls and lurches at them. We have tried a few interventions but nothing seems to work. He is a great dog other than this behavior. Any recommendations in the Milwaukee area are appreciated. Thanks!

  http://www.theteacherspetdog-training.com Whatever you choose, please find a trainer who is positive reinforcement-based. Leash reactivity can absolutely be made worse by punishment-based training techniques.
