  Does anyone have any recommendations for treating hot spots on your dog? My Benny doesn't seem to have any "weeping sores" like some web sites describe, but he can't stop itching two spots under his one leg, and they are red. All I had at home was Polysporin, so I used that this morning, but there has to be something that will help with the itching!

  There is a spray from Tropiclean called Oxy Med that works great for hotspots. The Friendly Groomer stocks it, open until 7 tonight and 9-5 tomorrow. 226-234-8656, I think there's at least 1 in stock.

  Hi Clair, the groomers price them individually so you'll have to call for a price. My husband is a giant himself so even xxl dogs aren't a problem (one client is an Irish Wolfhound!).   Seconding The Friendly Groomer suggestion. Peter is a super nice guy. He just opened up a new spot on Stanley St. Bottom line, there aren't many options that are less that 30$, nor should there be for the time that goes into grooming. Gotta make a living. In my research, Friendly Groomer had the best rates for grooming, with lots of grooming options depending on if you just need a bath, trimming, ear cleaning, etc. Turned out to be a great experience with wonderful grooming and staff.

  Suggestions! Advice! Recommendations!!! I would love feedback about a pup who desperately needs to be clipped, but she HATES to be touched. She is a senior gal, probably thrown from a car (found in Ohio), She doesn't like anyone touching, clipping or brushing her, but that could be from matting right now. She also battles with seizures too. This poor babes just needs some love and to find a perfect home. Currently she is in a loving foster home; and I have been asked to do pictures of her - but obviously she needs to be cleaned up. I wondered if a dog groomer came to her home if that would make a difference. Cost is a big issues - so I even thought wouldn't it be great if it were donated and then I could promote/advertise whomever did it. Anyhoo, suggestions would be lovely. Thank you.
