Moving to Bangkok in a few days, which are the most english friendly neighborhoods? Staying at a hotel for my first week, looking for a newbie friendly area to start my nomad journey. Budget is around $1000-$1400 per month depending on how nice place is. Also any bars or hotel skybars to meet nomads like myself.

I like Sukhumvit road, around Asok station. That way you have the skytrain, and the subway to Chinatown. If you can't find it on the map, it's right by Soi Cowboy... Also, I recommend the Nancy Chandler maps for Thailand. http://nancychandler.net/index.html
Hi all,
