  Hi, our developmentally delayed (and blind) 2.5 year old has a preliminary diagnosis of autism. Can anyone point me to a specialist of some kind (preferably on the East coast) who can help us with a second opinion? Our current developmental pediatrician has only ever had one other blind patient. I would also love to talk with other parents who have dealt with this dual diagnosis.

  A parent I know worked with Dr. Stanley Greenspan. Dr. Greenspan has since passed away. You might try to find where he was working, in Baltimore, I believe. We work with an associate of his in Ann Arbor Michigan. Richard Solomon. playproject.org They use a family and relationship centered treatment model. Our daughter is blind and has autism. Dr. Rick means so much to her and to our family.
