MGB restoration I'm 17 doing engineering at collegey dad had an old MGB in a garage for years, he says it just needs an engine maybe a gear box so my first question is where's the best place to get one, I've looked on eBay and there's very few and some not in great condition.
From sitting in a dry garage for years what kind of condition will it most likely be.

Craigslist mgexp.com (great group of people) Local club Mossmotors.comabingdonspares.com (my go to place. Reseller of Moss, but their prices are a little lower and their shipping is much lower. They have most, but not all of Moss' inventory) I would recommend not immediately ditching the engine. They are remarkably sturdy and easy to work on.

Good luck! What year is it? Does the engine turn? There are a lot of factors that go into determining what condition it will be in. I’ve seen some come out of storage and crank right up, and some be completely seized up. Moss motors is a good place for parts, and Victoria British. I don’t know if I’ve seen whole engines, but if the block is still good, you might be able to get everything you need to rebuild it. Post some pictures.

www.mossmotors.com and www.victoriabritish.com are the 2 major suppliers of Sprite and Midget parts in the US. Great forum at www.mgexp.com. Manuals in pdf formats available at spridgetguru.com.
Anyone have a sand blaster, or know where I can get a couple calipers cleaned up while they are off for a rebuild?

If you need parts sports sportscarpartsltd.com is a great local company. If the don't have what you looking for on their website call them. If they can't help mossmotors.com. If they can't help try rimmerbrothers.com
Going to buy my MGB-GT tomorrow ( my first MG ) . It's a little rough and needs a fair amount of work but I am excited. I would love to know about some part sources in my area ( N. GA ) or some clubs. I know nothing about MGs but have been in the car hobby for many years. I hope 500 was not too much money for car. I will need all the front body parts replaced but the car is in good shape from windshield back. Where can I source new or used body parts? Does anyone make fiberglass parts ??

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a muffler for my Austin A40 somerset. I know Earlpart has one but I live in Toronto and shipping is quite expensive. Is there anywhere I can ask over here or in the...
I installed a muffler built for an Austin Healey Sprite on my A40 Sports. It works fine, and this muffler is available from lots of sources. www.mossmotors.com is one source. Bill Wilkman
