Do we need better customer service in the medical field?
I have called 7 doctors offices in the last 2 days. Out of 11 office staff members (all female) 9 of them left me feeling less than satisfied. Two were excellent and saved me so much money and time. Of course, I ended up going to the one who helped me the most.
Something is broken, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I'm not sure if they are not being paid enough, if there is too much pressure, if they are short on time, or something else entirely. Either way, when you are about to drop a large sum of money on a medical procedure, customer service is very important.
So, I keep looking, in hopes of finding a good dr. whose staff isn't either short, condescending, or "put out" by simple questions. The type of doctor I am looking for in Reno is a urologist. Any suggestions would be awesome!
