  Hey everyone...Need some help! I am moving out of India (via Europe, to South America) and plan to take my dogs along. It seems like I need to get a blood test done (for rabies) in order to transit via EU. However I am told that these tests cannot be performed in India and that I will have to send the samples abroad. Apparently the process can take up to 3 months. Can anyone confirm this piece of information? This is my first time and so am very clueless. We are located in Delhi. Any help would be appreciated.   As long as rabies and a few others (Furry Flyers has the list) you will be fine. It is much easier getting a pet out of India than in. Agree with Precious re Lufthansa. They were great. Never used Emirates with pets.

  Hi ! We moved to the US from India last August with Cherie . She is an 8 year old lab and did brilliantly on the flight ( lufthansa from Bangalore to Texas ) , Anupama Vinayak from Furry Flyers helped with all the paper work and details . Your dog will love it here , Cherie loves the long walks on the beautiful trails and has made lots of friends .
