  Look into "HRV/Heat Recovery Ventilation". http://www.vent-axia.com/hrv-heat-recovery (one company, there are lots). I installed it in our house and it made a massive difference. The energy we save is not totally saved as it needs electricity to run (and it's a cost to buy the system) but we don't have to have the windows open and it's no longer really damp in the house.
