Any mortgage broker recommendations - Halifax? Hi our mortgage is up for renewal and we are looking to switch banks. We have been with the same bank since Day 1 and its customer service is terrible.
Any mortgage broker recommendations? And what is the process? Do they need to come to the house for an appraisal? Due to covid I'm not keen on having people in the house.
Thanks!

https://www.ratespy.com/ Check out on here who's offering the best deals right now. We used Clinton Wilkins and the process was super easy. Not sure we got the *lowest* rate, but at 1.84% I'm pretty happy, and I actually have been really happy with First National so any broker that offers them I'd be happy with.
Ratehub sucks. Where can I check best current mortgage rate? [Ratehub.com](https://Ratehub.com) used to be great. But they are shills and are sponsored by brokers. And now you have to fill in a bunch of information before seeing anything. Is there a similar site out there anybody knows?
Best Mortgage Providers in Winnipeg? Hiya Folks,
Myself and my partner are first time homebuyers and looking to purchase a home hopefully in 2021. We want to start getting our ducks in a row and do some research to see what's our best options as we're completely new to all of this.
We've got a broad spectrum of passing advice from friends or family to go with a Bank, a Broker or a Credit Unions and I thought I'd throw the question to the fine people of r/winnipeg to get your two cents and if there are any top suggestions or glaring avoidances for where we should start looking and who we should start chatting with.
Cheers!

I used ratespy.com last year when we were up for renewal. Allowed us to see who was offering what at what term and presented the comparables to our lender. They matched the most competitive rate and we didn't have to go through the fuss of moving all our banking for a better rate.
Low mortgage rates Hi
I want an uninsured mortgage. I am finding fixed and variable rates close to 1.9%.
Can anyone recommend a lender with lower rates?
Thanks
Current mortgage rates? Where can I find resources that provide current mortgage rates not from the big banks?
How can I be assured that the rate given to me by my mortgage broker is the lowest or close to the lowest rate available to me?
Should I be speaking to multiple brokers?

Ratespy.com Ratehub.ca Speaking to multiple brokers is probably overkill as one broker has access to many many lenders, but if you're not happy with what you're seeing, you can go see another broker. Also keep in mind you may not be eligible for the crazy low rates sometimes posted online.
Renewing my mortgage with Nesto, never heard of this bank they gave me before I am shopping around for mortgages and found Nesto-a Canadian mortgage broker. Put all my details in and they are suggesting a 2.05 % variable with a "Mortgage Company". Does anyone know what bank this actually is?
The rate is very competitive and way lower than the 2.65% I am at right now. They are also suggesting a 2.25% with TD, but I rather go with the lower rate for obvious reasons.
Any recommendations for loan I probably missed the discussion on this, but we are looking to purchase a mortgage and wondered if anyone has any experience using the banks or other institutions for a home loan? We're first time buyers here.

As has already been mentioned, a mortgage broker is probably best and will likely get you the best rate, but if you're curious about where rates are currently, you can check out [Rate Spy](https://www.ratespy.com/) to see what you can expect.
Mortgage Pre Approval So the scoop is my fiance and I are looking at getting into our first home, and are looking for suggestions in regards to mortgages, and the pre approval process. Are there any suggestions for brokers or professionals who can help make the first time buyers experience as painless as possible?
Thanks,

I had a good experience doing everything online through intellimortgage and got a killer rate. Check out ratespy.com to compare (they don't promote certain lenders like ratehub does and thus show better rates).
Looking for a little advice about mortgage brokers vs. banks Hi everyone!
My significant other and I are considering buying a house instead of giving our money to the landlord. We were looking in the Aylmer area because overall the prices are reasonable and it's close to the city. Is it better to se a mortgage broker in Ontario or Quebec?? Or go through the banks? We are first time home owners so any advice would be appreciated.

First time was with a recommended broker, when it came time for renewal we went with a broker online that we found via http://www.ratespy.com. Everything was conducted electronically and they even had a mobile lawyer come to our house to sign the paperwork. In the end / after comparisons, the big 5 banks and our local broker couldnt touch the rates. Also, the RFD forum is a wealth of information and is frequented by some knowledgeable brokers. http://forums.redflagdeals.com/official-mortgage-rates-thread-351105/ Good luck!
