  You can go to MNCPA.org and use the "Find A CPA" tab. You will find competent, licensed CPAs. Not all tax preparers are experienced and trained.

  The MN Society of CPA's has an excellent referral service where you just input what you are looking for (area of expertise, geographic area, size of firm) and they will give you a short list of CPA's to contact. I believe website is www.mncpa.org
