  Anyone in Atlanta went through the process of getting your GED during the pandemic? I’m really wanting to get my GED to better my life, I was hoping to get it this year but all the new processes are kind of intimidating me, as someone who’s been out of school for more than ten years and suffers from anxiety, plus the pandemic...I don’t really know where to start with getting tutoring either. Kind of looking for a little support group if there is one out there.

They offer free GED courses, and it sounds like they offer a lot of support, including tutoring.   Does anyone know of a literacy group in the area that teaches adults to read? A stranger heard that I teach English and asked if I would teach him to read. His wife confirmed that he is illiterate and that she has tried unsuccessfully to teach him. My training is not with non-readers or beginning readers. I am Orton-Gillingham trained but do not feel adequate with beginners. A no cost program would be best. Thanks for any leads. I feel compelled to help him. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help. :)
