  My new domain is MCVL.net (which I realize seams like 4 random letters, but my company is MCVL Realty and it's a common abbreviation for the town that I live in) and I shorten permalinks for listings to street number and street name only, so I can put something like http://mcvl.net/380 mouzons/ on a sign rider. If you're well established with a longer domain, than I'd recommend just buying a short URL and pointing it to your listing page, ie. 123Main.info, so cheap and easy, I don't know why everyone doesn't do it. I can type that out on my phone before I can even remember the name of my QR scanner, yet alone get out of the car and scan it.
