  Hi everyone, I am desperately seeking a referral to a Psychiatrist, preferences: Medi-Cal, pediatric, understanding of Autism would be great. That being said, I may break down and go out of pocket even though I can't really afford to, and the other two factors are totally negotiable. I'm in Ramona, so someone in downtown or south bay would be a trek, but not out of the question. I need to find someone that will be able to get us in right away. Already tried working through the Access and Crisis line, and Children's outpatient and Behavioral Crisis center. I'm really not getting anywhere.

  I have heard (from a friend and from our phychologist) that Dr. Tanaka here in Ramona is fabulous. It looks like she doesn't take insurance but that you could try to get reimbursed. Her website is www.janetanakamd.org.
