  Yes, FIRST learn lighting BEFORE you buy... Christopher Grey has some excellent DVD resources through ShootSmarter.com then rent and pay with a set of mono lights to get a sense of what YOU like... I choose White Lightning from the maker of Alien Bees (Einsteins are also great). But I would buy ProPhoto if I knew THEN what I know now...
