I’m looking for a place to donate my wedding dress. Any ideas?

Does anyone have recommendations for 'recycling' a wedding dress? I really don't want to drop it at Goodwill and the consignment shop won't take it because it is more than 5 years old. The place that provides dresses to military brides won't take it for the same reason. It is a custom dress and I would love for a bride to use it (alter it to their body/wedding). Any ideas?

I gave mine to brides against breast cancer - I may of fudged the date or they weren't as strict then about it.
I need ideas for places to find a wedding dress under 500$ in seattle. (NOT davids bridal or online) thank you!

Look into Brides Against Breast Cancer. They do traveling events and 2 or 3 times a year they do one in Bellevue. They have new and gently used dresses at great prices. All of their dresses are cleaned and hemmed if needed. They sell them at great prices and proceeds go to breast cancer research. www.bridesagainstbreastcancer.org
Does anyone need a used wedding dress or know where to donate one? I just closed on a house and the seller asked me to donate the wedding dress she left there (in a box)

I would like to give away my beautiful wedding dress to someone who could not afford one other wise. Can anyone recommend an organization or association that does that?
