  Hello All, I need some advice. I am jumping back into the fray and making new noble clothes for some people. I am an experienced seamstress and embroiderer, but I have no idea where to start for a Noble man's shirt. I promised my roommate a new shirt, but with all the patterns available (they weren't available when I was making costumes in the past. My newest dress was made in 1998), I'm stumped. Also any suggestions for good machine embroidery blackwork? Thanks so much!!

  Shirts in the period are much, much simpler than the yoked ones of yore. Think rectangles. Find a copy of Tudor Tailor book. In the meantime - this is their pattern. http://www.tudortailor.com/mens-patterns/...
