  http://www.dolphinbayresort.com/ Can highly recommend Dolphin Bay Resort. We have been going there regularly for the last 5 - 6 years and it is our favorite place. It is very good for kids and in a way relaxing for adults. But if you are in for discos etc then you will be disappointed. It is a quiet place and very nice. The restaurant is very good as well and prices are very reasonable and so are the room rates.

  If you dont need to stay in hua hin proper I second Dolphin Bay Resort for families. Only a small low traffic street separates the resort from a nice, wide beach with shallow waters. http://www.dolphinbayresort.com/

  Since people give advice on Koh Chang when that's not even requested , let me say that for a holiday with little kids I would rather advice Pranburi area (Dolphin Bay) over Samed. Nice shallow water there ideal for litlle kids. Maybe a half a day trip into Sam Roi Yot park can be nice, Kui Buri park with wild elephants is an option or have a short boat ride to a monkey island.
