  In search of a vet please. I am adopting a beautiful border collie from Harris County Shelter and they found out yesterday she's heart worm positive. So I need a vet that helps with heart worms, but won't break the bank. I don't want to back out of the adoption because my son and I already love her so much from the little time we got with her at the shelter. So if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

  If you are willing to drive a little bit. Try Economy Pet Clinic. They have an internet site. My dog is heartworm positive. We have started treatment with them. About 180 dollars every 4 months. A year treatment doing it the slow way instead of the fast way were it is more expensive. Very good vet. Only vet I have found that doesn't require your soul arms and legs to pay for some treatment.
