  Call for action; I need to know if anybody has any resources for oral surgeons. I have somebody who has a tooth abscess that needs an extraction ASAP and the lowest quote was $1000. We're a dental office that ONLY serves patients with developmental disabilities. You have to be referred to us by a doctor who has diagnosed you with a developmental disability.   I am trying to find a dentist for my autistic son. I would like one that will do sedation for cleanings due to numerous problems we have had in the past with getting him to cooperate. He hits, he bites, he screams and will not open his mouth for them to clean or do xrays. Does anyone have any suggestions on a dentist that will do sedation for cleanings and xrays? I do not mind driving outside of the Newton/Rockdale area if it means getting this accomplished.

  Hi Angela Johnson Cates try DDD Foundation 404-942-0086. They are a special needs dentistry. And they do sedation for cleaning. we have used them for years and we go every six months.

  To all those who live in the Covington/Conyers area - I need help finding a dentist for my son. We have tried so many that advertise they specialize in "special needs" children but have not had any luck getting x-rays or cleaning done for my son. I finally found one in Locust Grove that uses gas to put them out a little but they cancelled on my because their hygenist was pregnant and they were afraid he might kick or hit her in the stomach. Does anyone know of ANY dentist that does sedation for routine cleanings and x-rays? After trying for about 4 years we have not had a successful cleaning or xray yet.

  I am not sure if you mind traveling I go to the DDD Foundation I think they take all insurance but they put my son asleep and do ex-rays and do full cleaning. They r great to work with.
