  Any suggestions news help-- yes, I have gout but dr says I have pulled Achilles -- he will send me to podiatrist after first of year if not better. Nor better it is swelling up into ankle area and so painful to walk or move foot. I have wrapped, iced, heated, and elevate & anti-inflammatory Meds -- help please.

  WebMD & foothealthfacts.org suggest all the things you have done so far - elevate, don't put weight on leg(crutches), ice 20-30 min every 3-4 hrs, compress w/elastic bandage around lower leg/ankle & anti-inflammatory meds. Foothealthfacts.org have 2 more suggestions - night splints & orthotics.
