I'm looking for a recommendation of a chiari specialist in southern California. I went to the neurologist for severe migraines, dizziness, facial tingling and numbness, blurred vision. The neurologist looked at my MRI and said I'm borderline chiari, whatever the hell that means. He said if the tonsil was descended another mm he would diagnose me with chiari but he just can't diagnose it at this point. He even called the tech that he had discussed my case with because it was so close he wanted a second opinion.
Are neurologists educated on chiari enough? Would seeking a specialist be a waste of time? I don't particularly want a chiari diagnosis but want to be sure to rule it out if that's not what is wrong.
