About us
Hi there! My name is Marti and I am your groomer. Previously, I was the Lead Veterinary Technician for a local animal hospital in Houston, TX. While In am still certified, spending 50-60 hours a week away from my family just isn't for me. (After all, they pick out my headstone when it's all said and done.)
The knowledge that I gained as a tech makes me very aware of the causes and effects of many different ailments and gives me the ability to recognize when there is a serious problem. This knowledge and skill also allows me to work with dogs that have special needs and give aid when necessary.
My years in the veterinary hospital began the bases of my grooming skills. Although I am self taught, (most of the great ones are) I have the support of several groomers including a Master Groomer and a few good friends in the competition circuit. As any dedicated groomer should be, I am always learning. I am working on National Dog Grooming Association of America certifications as testing becomes available in our area.
