Trying to think outside the box with either a nice dinner for close friends/family and a family trip to celebrate but VERY open to hearing ideas!   Ideas for cake service with 18 candles and bringing up peoe to signify candles. Do you light candles on cake after or do a song or prayer. Ideas?

  Mazel Tov on your upcoming mitzvah. I agree with Rebecca Jasgur Schlussel. I think candle lightings are a very important part of the party, but 18 candles is too much! Maybe have each group light two if you want 18 candles???? It takes a village to raise everyone's kids and this is a great way to show appreciation to those that have helped along the way.
