  I used to work at Shades of Green, a local organic plant nursery off Sunset between 281 and Broadway. I don't recall specific names, but they have a list of good landscapers/arborists/etc that they will happily refer you to. Give them a call at (210) 824-3772 and ask, but I'd also see if they have any recommendations themselves. Ask for Jeff if he's there. He'll know the most about trees diseases I suspect. If not Jeff, ask for Donna or Patrick. If you take in some pictures they can have a look, and if you go in person ask for Bob, the owner. He knows everything about everything and has an organic gardening talk show on the weekends.
