Recommendations in UK a DSLR rental for wedding photography Looks like I might getting booked for my 1st wedding photography gig. A small affair but I want to rent a decent camera as I my main affair and use my trusty (but ageing canon 550d as backup).
I can't afford to buy new gear so am looking at renting.
So any recommendations on
A) Who to rent from?
B) What body and lens?
I have most experience with Canon so will probably want to stick with that.

Lenses for hire don't require a deposit or insurance it's built into there quote. However when I go to hire from hireacamera I'm always asked for deposit is that because I'm after a 10 grand c300???
Hi fellow filmmakers, does anyone know where I could hire a Sony A7S for 4-5 days for a decent price? After a quick look online I found the £360+ asking price extremely extortionate, may as well buy one myself!

That's about the going rate for a weeks hire for a kit. Hireacamera.com would be my recommendation
Anyone know anyone in or near Sheffield with a C300 available for hire?
Drew P. replied:
Argh, didn't want to hit enter then! As far as recorders go, most people like the Ninjas but personally I don't think I'd go that route. They might be better now but I had quite a few issues with early Atomos products and I still hear of Ninjas and Samurais killing SSD drives, not recording, dropping audio etc. I use a Hyperdeck Recorder but right now I'd be looking at Pix 220 or Odessey 7/7Q. If you do want to hire a C300, give hireacamera.com a try. The owner is a buddy of mine, runs a great service there. I'd also just say that for C300 kind of money, I'd ALWAYS urge people to go Sony route. The FS700 is a much much more capable camera with better image, more flexibility, more lens options. Both need external recorders but the Odessey 7Q gives loads of options including 4 k ProRes or raw.
Hi all, does anyone know of a photography studio for hire around Maidstone, Medway area? I just need it for a couple of hours on Saturday due to a last minute change of plan. I normally use Lux Studios but its already booked up. Thank you. :)
