Would not recommend. The receptionist told us that they are only accepting new patients who have never had a family doctor in Ottawa before. Doesnt matter what your story is (want a female instead of a male, dont want your moms doctor, last doctor died, ect), their receptionist is pretty apathetic about it.
Looking for recommendations for a family doctor accepting new patients
My Gp is retiring and am in search of a new doctor.
Looking for someone who doesn't dismiss, listens and genuinely cares about there patients.

Try Meadowlands Family Health Centre at 888 Meadowlands (613-228-2882) I've been with them for over 20 years and now my daughter has the same doc. I believe the team consists of 15 doctors. At the beginning of the year, a couple of them tend to take on new patients. Good luck!
Hi everyone. My daughter in law moved here from Toronto and is pregnant and is looking for a Dr. Do any of you lovely ladies know of a Dr accepting new patients? She lives downtown. Thanks

Meadowlands Family Health Centre 613-228-2882. A team of 10 physicians-at least half are female. Easy to get there from downtown, by car or bus.
Can anyone recommend a female DR that will actually take new patients? I called advanced medical in barrhaven but all of their new drs are male =(

Dr Joanne Tannenbaum at Meadowlands Family health centre 613-228-2882 meadowlands at hogs back. They have 10 dr's there and at least half are female, so if Joanne can't, then you can choose another.
