  I know this is an odd question but does anyone know of a low cost spay/neuter facility in Virginia? My sister rescued a pitbull and the vet told her it would be $500 + to do the neuter as he only had one descended testicle. I know this is not a pug question, but she really wants to get him neutered since it is better for him and everyone knows how many homeless pit bulls are out there. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!!

  Hey everyone! I was wondering what vet clinics/veterinarians you guys recommend in this area? I have a belgian malinois who will be due for an annual visit in december (may also consider getting him neutered). I've been taking him to the VT vet school clinic but I've seen a different vet just about EVERY time so no one is familiar with him and I never have a specific vet to call if I have questions, which is frustrating.   Mountain View Humane Society in Christiansburg is amazing. They just spayed my 8 month old great pyrenees and she came back the next day feeling great. Money was an issue for me though and although I am a veterinary student at Tech, places can be a little pricey. Mountain view does offer high quality services at low prices (around $80 if animal has not been in heat yet and is under 60 lbs). If money is not a factor, the veterinary school does a great job and also Town and Country in Christiansburg has laser surgery available which heals very rapidly.
