  Looking for a recommendation- My daughters have decided to have their birthday party guests bring pet supplies rather than gifts so that they can donate them to a shelter or rescue organization. They would love to make the donation in person and get to meet some of the pets they will be helping. It seems the Humane Society would prefer cash donations so I'm hoping for some advice on organizations in the area that could use our help. TIA

  We thoroughly enjoy Motley Zoo as of course does our pup too. The staff is very nice, enjoy their jobs / volunteering, and as a bonus the revenue goes to the rescue end of their operation as far as I understand. http://motleyzoo.org/

  Need some ideas-suggestions-help. A friend has a beautiful spaniel that has unfortunately bitten a small child. King County animal control has required him to quarantine the dog for ten days. He thinks he is supposed to put the dog down then. 1. Is there anyone who could take the dog for ten days? (The child is still in the house and her parents (Borders in the house) don't want the dog there.) 2. Is there an inexpensive place to board the dog for ten days? 3. Anyone have any ideas on how to save the dog? This poor guy is despondent. He really loves the dog. Such a tragedy.

  Hi all. We had an unexpected event this weekend on our property, and an animal that my son was very attached to was killed. After some serious consideration and seeing how he cared for this animal, we've decided that my son is ready for a puppy. (Almost all of our animals are rescues and I'm totally fine with older animals, but *in this case*, I believe strongly that a young pup is necessary.) I'm looking specifically for a mixed breed and am looking for the right pup so it will take a while. I'm relatively new here. Can you guys recommend good, safe places/rescues from which to adopt in this county?
