  Have you done your class 2 cat c ? If transporting your own horses then you don't need tacho /digi card . If you just passed car driving test then you can drive up to 3.5 tons.

  You only need the cpc if driving is your main income, for a bus or lorry driver, you shouldn't need it if you're only tootling in your own lorry. That reminds me I need to do my 35 hours at some point this year... eugh Have a look on the gov.uk website

  All training providers should be able to break the package down into stages - I.e medical, theory, practical, CPC modules... and you should only have to sit the ones necessary to you. CPC is needed when driving is your profession (not just when it's your main income! You could drive for one hour a week on the side and still need it!) - it stands for Certificate of Professional Competence. I work in recruitment for a haulage firm and manage our apprentices obtaining their Class 2 licences - so if you need any advice on any of the stages feel free to PM me, I'm not in your area so can't advise of training providers but can help with what's what. For the additional money it costs, it may be worth just doing the CPC, and then it can be kept for one course per year from about £55 per course.
