Ok, I need help. My son is involved in a misdemeanor court case. He's had one Comp Eval already. He's been ordered to have another at our request. The first one said he should be hospitalized which means be given drugs. My son says he'd rather die suicide by cop rather than take any more drugs. He's been forced to take drugs 25 years and we believe they're killing him. I believe he's been brain damaged by them as he started having fixed delusions in 2007. He has many. But! He has them while taking the drugs, too. Now I ask. Why give him drugs if he has these fixed delusions whether taking or not taking the drugs? My point is this. Is it possible for me to find a forensic psychologist (or psychiatrist) who will put in a Comp Eval Report that he does not need to be hospitalized (medicated)? He is a good kind person and behaves. More so when not taking any drugs. It wasn't always so but it is now. Now if he were threatened with the first generation drugs, he would run, fight even if he died because he suffered horrific painful side effects, akathisia, hyperthermia, and more. They were unbearable. He paced 24 hours a day like a caged animal. Lived homeless to escape them.
I need to find a forensic PhD or MD who will report that though Jeff has fixed delusions, there is no need for medication as it does not help and only worsens. (In fact, the last medication, Invega Sustenna, did make the delusions worsen. How can I find one? Gotta have it scheduled by 4/2/15 by court order.
