  http://moredooks.herobo.com/search.php?chart=ferret This is a great chart to look at for good quality food. The closer a food is to the top of the chsrt, the better it is. The more meat there is in the first 6 ingredients, the better the food is for your ferret. It's best to avoid foods that contain green peas - especially within the first 6 ingredients. Green peas have been shown to cause kidney stones in ferrets.

  Hi everyone, in a bit of a rut. My vet told me to switch over to a ferret food called totally ferret. Now, ive been reading online that it's not a very high quality food. I need help, suggestions. I was reading that innova evo kitten and cat was fine for them although id rather have evo ferret but unfortunately cant find a single pet store in my area that sells it. Please help. :(

  Hi everyone, I need some advice. I adopted a new fuzzy about 3 weeks ago and although he will drink perfectly fine, he refuses to eat on his own. I have to hand/ force feed him....I have tried different brands of wet ferret food and cat food. I have tried kitten milk replacer and my normal dry ferret food. I am currently making him eat Duck soup and adding ferritone and ferritive to help him gain weight... The vet said to keep doing what I am doing...but does anyone know of any tricks I can use or any advice?

Collins- here's a fantastic guide for ferret owners. it shows the top ingredients in ferret (and some cat) food. ferrets are carnivores and should not be eating grains or non-meat products as a part of their regular diet. your vet may not be aware that there are 'healthy' ferret food out there. check out the chart and see for yourself. http://moredooks.herobo.com/search.php?chart=ferret
