  Hi WAPF OC Chapter! I am a part of the local chapter in Georgia. My brother needs a doctor in Orange County who can help him with possible gluten problems. He has advanced peripheral neuropathies (Charcot Marie-Tooth) and has tested positive genetically (as have many other family members) for celiac and non-celiac gluten sensitivity (one gene of each), but his neurologist says he has no antibodies to gluten and that should be the end of the story. Brother is open and has asked for help finding a helpful doctor. Anyone in this group have any ideas? Anyone know about Sushma Bahl, MD in Irvine? Brother lives in Laguna Niguel.

  Hi Janet. My mom is actually a physician here in OC, but she is not a naturopath, if that is what you're looking for. She is a D.O./family practice physician and she supports all the wapf and holistic practices. I'm a nutritional therapist (NTP) and my mom and I work together for people who'd like the natural approaches to health issues. We definitely work with any gut syndromes and degrees of celiac or gluten intolerance. I do agree with Stacey that the best way to do is strictly avoid gluten. Have you looked at the gaps diet?
