  **This is a request for open and honest discussion (read: not a passive-aggressive post aimed at a particular person or group of people).** Instead of saying that you're looking for "affordable" or "reasonably priced" wedding professionals (aka vendors), what do y'all think of saying something like "I'm looking for a photographer in the $800-1100 range" or "I have $517.25 left in the budget--anyone know a band I can hire?" My reasoning is this: These types of words/phrases are extremely subjective--someone may consider $500 for a band as a deal while someone else feels that it's a splurge. I know it's bit *yikes* to throw numbers around like that in a forum such as this, as many people are self-conscious about budget and no one wants to be judged! But I have a feeling you'll get more manageable answers this way--a list of 5 suggestions you can actually use as opposed to a thread of 50 names and businesses that you have to sift through. **Thoughts?** :)

  Please visit costofwedding.com to see what "average" rate is for many service providers in the zip code for your wedding. Depending on the date, time, location, needs, some vendors may be able to put something together that will meet your needs, but understand that you will not receive their full suite of services for a budget that is 1/2 or 1/4 of what they need to sustain their business! Personally, I have a base rate for Saturday dates April-October, as those are prime dates, but can be more flexible for a Friday wedding in January or February!
