About us
Nick & Mel are pioneers of the old and new, bringing back the old TV age of variety shows with contemporary robust alternative rock & blues original music, all inspired by gay, lesbian, transgender romance, love and, especially, divorce!
Although they are thrilled by the recent strides in marriage equality, local San Diego favorites Melanie Peters and Nick Walker – known as “Nick & Mel” have learned from personal experience that love doesn’t always last. They also know that the best way to get through it is in the company of good friends and with a lot of humor.
The songs for their new album, “LIVE, Songs in the Key of Divorce” were born from numerous relationships, years of friendship, and 15-minute musical brainstorming sessions. Each song promises to be its own musical treat and comedy nugget rolled into one.
