  I live near Bury St Edmunds and my friend is coming down at the end of June. Although I have my own horse she wants to go for a hack. She can on mine but I was thinking it would be nice if we could both go on a hack (mine won't travel), so needs to be a trekking/riding school. Can anyone suggest somewhere that does lovely trekking or hacking not far from me- maybe Thetford forest area or somewhere else picturesque? Thanks.

  Ideas please. I'd like to take my horse on holiday, does anyone have any ideas? Preferably somewhere not too far away (for our first adventure together) with a combination of schooling area, jump facilities, cross country, secure turnout area, on site instruction/clinic etc as well as hacking, and a bed for me too would be a bonus!

  Little lodge farm is great, we have been twice now and took the horses and camped, brillant hacking, swimming in the river, xc course, show jumping arena ect. Great fun and the people are lovely :-)

  No cottages but little lodge farm is a camp site with log cabins on site, they are dog friendly in 1/2 of them but you will need to check about access.. they are less than 10 mins away.
