Your nearest www.puppyschool.co.uk trainer is in Weston Rhyn. We run evening classes on a Thursday and Friday. Our Christmas Puppy Club session for puppy socialisation is at Trevor Hall Farm on Sunday December 11 th at noon.

A good puppy school is essential. Many are not a good standard, and allow a lot of free running and chasing. Theses are not ideal, and can sometimes mess up a dog who can either feel bullied and become scared, or end up being a bully. So try http://www.puppyschool.co.uk/ and also any life skills classes based on Helen Zulch's methods, or www.apdt.co.uk :)
Hello everyone. Newbie puppy owner here (arriving in 3 weeks), can anyone please recommend a nice friendly easy to read book on training, socialisation etc. I'm in the UK so a UK published book would be great. Thanks

Hi guys, we are getting a puppy next week and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good vets reasonably local? X
Jenni J. replied:
Be careful which puppy classes you choose... Go onto puppyschool.co.uk to find the one local to you, or at least make sure they have some basic qualifications first. (I'm a canine behaviourist and trainer but not currently running any, though we will be hopefully starting Some at solihull college very soon)

Clare W. replied:
The puppy school is a nation wide training school. They are highly recommended! I've used them myself. They are great because it's all positive reinforcement and no punishment at all! They do fantastic socialisation within the small groups! They are by far the best and the only ones id recommend! Good luck with your new pup!!! http://www.puppyschool.co.uk

Most if not all puppy training classes have an age limit of 20 weeks. After that this adolescent hormones kick in. I can offer you private sessions at your house. All kind methods. Www.puppyschool.co.uk
