  Our 2.5 year old bitch Athena tore her cruciate (Grade 4- full tear). We are looking at TPLO surgery to repair/ restore function. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments, suggestions about the surgery or rehabilitation afterwards. We are heading to Michigan to have the surgery done since the procedure is not offered in our community. Thanks everyone.

  My girl Paris had the TTA surgery for her torn cruciate. Here is a link to read up about it. This was recommended to us as the best long term results. http://ttasurgery.com/ She has recovered well. During the recovery period she was crated or laid on the floor next to me. She was kept on leash for any potty time during the recovery period.
