  For Swords- Binns, Armour Class, and custom makes (If you spend less than $250 it's going to be broken soon..) Stay away from Chens and the Tinker Pierce Practical. They don't hold up, break often enough, and will nick badly. Repeat what Daniel said about axes and spears. Walhalla.com.pl has Dane axes, but they need to have the edged rounded and they're about 1-2 inches shorter than period examples. I've never paid more than $50 for an axe head and just replace the handle. About $40 for a spear head and shaft.
