Hi friends, we are going on a trip of a lifetime this summer and are looking for options for places where we can rent a professional lens for our SLR camera. I know about Showcase- any other suggestions? Thanks!
I've been trying to order sith contact lenses and every place I try gives me issues. Any site suggestions? Or anybody recommend physical stores I'm in central Kentucky

I recommend using Exotic lenses. Com, or Gothika lenses.com. Same company. They are the only FDA approved cl supplier in the US! Do not buy from second rate companies that get their cl lenses from China, or Korea. The quality isn't there, there's no regulations on them, therefore who knows what's in them. It's not worth taking a chance with your eyes!! Plus they are having a great sale right now! I just bought 8 pair of lenses, for myself and my husband and son, for this season. Their lenses are super comfy, I've had issues with other brands in years past, but never with Exotic lenses!
Looking to rent a go pro for 8 days... They do it online for 35 but I won't get it in time (Monday evening) anyone knows where I can rent one no more than 35 .

Rentgopro.com & borrowed lenses.com many resorts too but they needed notice :)
Is there anywhere other than Precision that will rent me a 5d? Need for a weekend but am trying not to spend a ton and I want to test it out before I purchase one. Any recommendations?
Josh B. replied:
LensRentals.com , borrow lenses.com , lumoid.com

What lenses and gear do you have? I've traded and or met with with others to test out gear and if you both have something the other doesn't you can do a mutual 'free' exchange.
Hi,
Does anyone know where can I rent a flash 580 ex ii or 600 without paying up front for it (Samy's).
TIA

I don't know anywhere that will rent w/out taking large deposit include online like borrow lenses.com. Unless you have a personal friend willing to do it, all businesses need to protect themselves in case product not returned or damaged.
Does anyone know of a local shop(Portland) that rents a Canon EOS-M?
Dawn J. replied:
^^ Borrow Lenses.com has a store in portland where you can pick your item up
Dawn B. replied:
That's the only 'local' place I know that rents. There is borrowedlenses which I've heard quite a bit of positive feedback on there rentals.
Dawn J. replied:
Camera Solutions says you can go there, but borrow lenses you need to use the site, because they use a store as a pick up location, but the store isn't a borrow lenses store. The store is called Action Fast photo
9 mmSFX is another one. They have FDA approved lenses. They are a little pricey but for safe lenses id rather pay more. Also Exotic Lenses.com is another. They were at Youma last year.

Honeycolor is good too but apparently their shipping takes a little longer (from a friends experience.) Exotic lenses sell at youmacon, I bought my first pair of color contacts there 2 years ago. Personally, I suggest pinky paridise, they have great service and though they're out of stock, I'm sure if you message and ask them, they'll get back to you!
Jenny H. replied:
Oh, you probs won't find those since i don't think it's legal to sell circle or scelera lenses in the US >.< and especially with scelera contacts you might want a reputable source
Are there any local places to rent equipment or studio space? I've heard of other places doing it, but didn't know if Oly/Lacey/Tum area has anything. Right now, I'd really like to rent a lens for a shoot this weekend...
Bonnie H. replied:
The closest place I know that does is Robi's in Tacoma but they're limited on what they rent out. Glaziers in Seattle but they generally want a heafty deposit. I've rented from borrow lenses.com before and had a good experience. I'll be renting from them again soon. :)
