Hi Guys, I am looking for some advice. First off I want you to know that my vet is involved with helping me, but I think there’s more I can be doing that the vet is overlooking. Hind gut ulcers, what have you used in the past to treat them? My horse has just finished a week treatment of Gastrogard (she had a gas colic last week), but the vet thinks she has hind gut ulcers and is supposed to be getting me a quote for a drug that treats the ulcers. While I wait for that, what have you guys done to support your horse after treatment too? Horse is currently on SmartDigest Ultra, G.U.T, SmartGain 4, and TractGard. She eats Triple Crown Complete, alfalfa pellets, and Legend’s Omega. She’s bit of a hard keeper and has been having a hard time adjusting to Virginia’s humidity as she’s lived in Ohio all her life up until February when I purchased her. Right now she is very depressed and her chronic diarrhea has not cleared up even after the week of Gastrogard. She is eating better, but I am more so worried about her depression. Thanks in advanced!
