About us
Dr. Kurz is a plastic surgeon, serving Prince George and Northern BC, who performs both Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Plastic Surgery.
The practice also provides science based, non-invasive and minimally invasive health and beauty related products and services including: Advanced skin care products, professional facial treatments, acne care, laser aesthetics and mineral based makeup products.
We are very excited to announce the opening of our brand new large, private, beautiful and serene Aesthetics Facility on February 3rd, 2014. We are located across from the Four Seasons Pool and next to the Two Rivers Art Gallery, with drive-up private parking. We will continue to offer the high quality products & services that our clients have been accustomed to; however, we are also expanding our offerings to ensure that we are your one-stop-shop for Health, Wellness & Beauty! We now offer massage (including steam shower), gel nails, lash extensions, waxing, manicures, pedicures & facials. We will continue to offer our extensive assortment of advanced laser, light and radio frequency based treatments for hair removal, pigment correction, vein treatment, skin tightening and facial/body rejuvenation. We are also expanding our advanced skin care product line and are pleased to announce that we are now the exclusive SkinCeuticals representatives for Northern BC.

Senior Esthetician / Laser Technician Velinda Pellegrino
Velinda brings two decades of professional experience to the Azure team. She has worked in advanced medical aesthetics for the past13 years. As a senior certified laser technician and skin care specialist, Velinda's passion and commitment to her clients is evident in the delivery of her treatments and her gentle caring manner. Velinda has extensive knowledge of anti-aging, acne and skin rejuvenation treatments. She specializes in vascular laser therapy, phototherapy, non-invasive body contouring, laser hair removal, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, professional skin care education and Jane Iredale make-up application. Velinda's warmth and commitment has resulted in many long-term relationships with her clients, built on a foundation of trust.
Senior Esthetician Ashley Woods
Ashley has been working in the field of aesthetics since 2008 and has experience with a wide range of aesthetic services including massage, waxing, pedicures, Bio sculpture nails, facials and skincare. Ashley is very experienced with our Jane Iredale mineral makeup line and can also provide expert level Bio sculpture Gel Nail and Eyelash Extension applications. Ashley's attention to detail and authentic customer service abilities have enabled her to build a loyal following of clients.
Senior Esthetician Janine Baltaretu
Janine has been in the aesthetics field since 2001 and brings extensive aesthetic training and experience to the Azure team. Before coming to Canada, she trained and worked at Beautiko in Pretoria, South Africa. Janine also holds a UK based international certificate (ITEC) in Aesthetics, obtained after completing a 2 year, full time extensive training program. Janine can provide professional treatments for massage, facials, waxing, pedicures, manicures, Bio sculpture nails, C+B laser, IPL & more. Janine brings an outgoing personality and unbounded enthusiasm to the Azure team. She looks forwards to serving previous clients, since returning from maternity leave, and she welcomes new clients who would like to book a skin care consultation or aesthetic service.
Kelsey Ronan, Registered Nurse
Kelsey has been with Dr. Kurz since 2009. Above and beyond her RN qualifications, Kelsey has certification as a certified Plastic Surgery nurse. This qualification requires extensive study, experience and examinations and Kelsey is the only nurse in Northern BC to achieve this advanced certification level. She is able to provide a variety of Laser and RF energy based procedures & aesthetic services in addition to surgical nursing duties, patient consultations and follow ups. Kelsey is a warm, professional and knowledgeable team member who makes her patients feel at ease.
