  Hello SA Vegans!! I am a British vegan, and my wife and I are arriving in SA on Thursday.. Hoping some of you can help me out with some recommendations! What are your favourite places to eat with vegan options in the following towns/cities: Durban, Wilderness/George, Cape Town Also, do most coffee shops in SA offer alternative milks like Soy/Almond etc for coffees?   Ok. As per my last post I am an instant vegan after watching Earthlings. However my grocery cupboard still has poofy eggs and dairy in it. Where can I get things like Tempeh, Quinoa and which Fry's don't contain palm oil? I have to do an emergency shopping trip :-) will any health store sell these things and do grocery stores sell it too? Health shops are closed today as I live in a small town. Any advise? I had brown rice, veggies and kidney beans last night. Plus I have a 21 month old son. Can I feed him what I eat? I know kids need alot of good fat for brain development. LOL tomorrow during lunch I am going to scramble for food for the week. Also what good sites can I order food from? I need to save the links so I can get cracking. Thanks xxx

  Hi Dakalo, What specifically are you looking for? There are plenty of vegan foods to be found at any grocery store. Many delicious and nutritious vegan meals can be made without ever needing to go further than your local PnP/similar. For the fancier chef, speciality ingredients or items are available at health stores. We'd need to know more about what you are looking for to give a specific answer. Check dat list on vegan sa site.green side cafe and leafy greens make great raw desserts.fruits and roots in brayanston has great cranberry muffins. Brittany 4 rm jozi uncooked can make any thng under pluto!she good i went 2 one of ha classes and had half a tub of ha raw icecream and coconut icecream.superb.u must try d Raw Potlucj dat happens monthly wonderful amazing stuf!my fav was sum raw mango and chocolate tart devine!

  You can try a lady called Marna who owns a couple of Health food shops in Bloem called 'Emagenes'. One is in the central and pretty nice shopping centre, Loch Logan. Her health shops have got quite a lot of vegan foods and BWC/LB endorsed personal care products, and she promises tosend me a list of places to stay and eat from around there very soon. ... So, I'm sure if you popped in there and said hello, she'd share that info with you. Pls say hi from me if you do! She knows me as Sheldon from VeganSA.com
