Imagine a place where some of the most beautiful countryside and breath taking fells are, quite literally, on your doorstep.
Imagine a place where you can explore the wildness and isolation of nature, but return home to a warm and comfortable lodge that has all the facilities you need after a day of walking, biking or sightseeing.
Imagine a place where you can watch the sun go down (most are north facing – need to check you can) on your veranda in the summer, settle down to a warm and cosy welcome in winter, and watch the stars and abundant wildlife from your doorstep.

We offer comfortable holiday or short break accommodation in an idyllic Lakeland setting. Our aim is to enable you to enjoy Lakeland as much as we do.
Hartsop Fold is located in a quiet location between Brotherswater and Ullswater in the heart of the Lakes.
We have 12 self-catering holiday lodges set in one of the most beautiful and peaceful corners of the English Lake District.
Situated in middle of the National Park Hartsop Fold is an ideal base for hill walking, mountain biking, fell running, canoeing, and exploring the local area.
We are close to the outstandingly beautiful natural attractions of Helvellyn, Ullswater, Brotherswater and Dovedale, and provide an excellent base for fell walkers and cyclists to access the fells straight from the lodge park.
Hartsop Fold offers tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Lake District towns, but we are only a short drive away from the popular towns of Ambleside and Windermere.
Come and visit us soon, and enjoy spectacular fell walks from the lodge park, and see red deer, badgers and birdlife on the fields and hillsides nearby, and find your own corner of tranquillity here in the Lakes.
