Where are you from and how did you get into this business?
I am from Cape Town from a family of artists. During September school holidays of 2015 I took my son to the famous V&A Waterfront to play by the kids area. As I watched him, a lady face painting caught my eye and I was mesmerized.. What peeked my interest was the smooth application of the face paint and thought this is not your standard craft paint... So I was naturally inquisitive and approached the face painter in between her breaks about the paint and we struck a conversation. She was so open to sharing brands, suppliers and some tricks of the trade. I loved this moment of woman empowering each other. It dawned on me that I could too make this a business So with my qualifications and experience in business and passion for art I knew I could to take this to the next level. And Avantgarde Creations was born.
From where do you draw your enthusiasm and inspiration for the job?
Art is the medium of human connection. My art is about helping people connect to the magic inside themselves. Children naturally live in that magical world; just ask how they would like to have their face painted, and they always know. As we age, outside expectations and self-doubt cloud that connection with our inner selves. I want to facilitate the rebirth of that connection with every brushstroke. I believe in magic.
Creativity has always been a passion since a young age at an advanced level and it running in my family on my Dads side and subsequently passed onto my daughter that matriculated with a distinction in visual art.
How can a customer ensure that they receive the best possible service from you?

From contact to execution of the event we put the specific needs of our client in the center of everything that we do. This policy is attached to customers quotes for them to read and accept.
