  Marianna, considering your time constraint, you may get best results by making your own CooKits. With an assembly-line and the help of a few people you will be able to make about 25 CooKits in 2 - 3 hours. Aaron Brothers may donate cardboard from their incoming shipments; aluminum foil from the supermarket, plus white glue are your materials. Tools: leather gloves to protect hands, plus a box cutter (sheetrock knife), and a ruler for scoring. Directions can be found on www.solarcooking.org.

  So our power went out yesterday,..........It barely rained, and winds were not that high, It was out 30 hours almost-Anyway, I could deal with the heat, but all I could think about was my food rotting in the freezer and that other than a propane grill, I have no alternative sources of cooking, food storage, etc. I am more determined now than ever that canning and dehydration is a must, and finding and using alternative sources of cooking, and keeping food must be made a priority now.
